Lee Kim leads Women's Track & Field at SCIAC Multi-Dual

LA VERNE, Calif. — Catalina Lee Kim claimed three individual events to highlight the first SCIAC Multi-Dual meet for the La Verne women's track and field team on Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium and Campus West.

The Leopards dropped to Cal Lutheran 102-59 and 110-48 to Occidental.

Lee Kim won the long jump with a personal record leap of 5.63 meters (18 feet, 5.75 inches), came in first in the 100m hurdles at 15.54 seconds and took the triple jump with a leap of 10.91m (35-09.50).

Lee Kim has already set three personal records for far this season (100m - 13.29; 100m hurdles - 15.33; long jump - 5.63m)

Melissa Cerrillos was another multi-winner for the Leopards. Cerrillos edged her rival Roxanne Valle of Occidental in both the 800m and the 1500m with marks of 2:24.42 and 4:52.57, respectively.

Taylor Schulze won the pole vault with a personal best clearance of 3.50m (11-05.75).

Carmen Sandoval added a second place finish in the 400m hurdles (1:06.01) and Dreama Gonzales finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.07m (16-07.75).

The Leopards are back in action on Friday at Oxy Distance Carnival Spring Break Classic.
