NEW ORLEANS — The University of La Verne men's and women's track and field teams racked up 10 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Region accolades the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction in addition to each of the top-three relay teams in each region.
Jade Griffin led the Leopards with two individual accolades in the 200m and 400m. Griffin finished as the top performer in the 200m. Griffin will represent the Leopards at the NCAA DIII Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships beginning this Friday.
Anthony Carter also earned two all-region honors in the long jump as well as a member of the men's 4x400m relay team. Zachary Reid ended the indoor season as the top West Region performer in the 60m hurdles with a La Verne record time of 8.63.
