LA VERNE, CA — Matthew Salas and Catherina Posada have been tabbed SCIAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week the Southern Califonia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Monday.

Salas led the La Verne men's cross country team in an extremely competitive race at Pre-Nationals hosted at Tom"Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY. The junior finished first for Leopards with a time of 26:21.4.

Posada likewise led the La Verne women's cross country Pre-Nationals. The senior paced the Leopards on what turned into an adjusted 3.9K course with a time of 15:33.2.
