CLAREMONT, CA — Matthew Salas and Alexander Medina led the University of La Verne men's cross country teams at the 2019 SCIAC Championships.
Salas just missed earning All-SCIAC honors with a 26th overall finish, pacing the Leopards with a time of 26:16.75.
Medina finished next for the Leopards, crossing 49th overall at 27:01.52.
Sophomore Aidan Garcia posted a time of 27:49.76 as the next best Leopard. Junior Joel Reyes followed close behind with a time of 27:52.22.
Eric Lopez-Elwell (28:31.86) and Luke Garcia (32:50.04) closed out the race for La Verne.
The Leopards finished sixth as a team with a score of 181. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the SCIAC Championship and the Stags' Thomas D'Anieri took the individual title.

The Leopards will next prepare for the NCAA West Regionals held on Saturday, November 16 at Pomona-Pitzer.
