La Verne falls to 1-15 overall and 1-5 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Cal Lutheran improves to 9-6 and 5-1.
Hodgson set the tone early, scoring eight points and grabbing six boards in the first quarter as the Regals ran out to a 25-10 lead. Cal Lutheran started the game on a 10-0 run and Hodgson scored six points during that streak.
The Leopards scored the first two baskets of the second quarter to get within 11 but the Regals ripped off another run of 10 unanswered points to grab a 35-14 lead and never looked back.
La Verne is back in action on Saturday against Caltech.
