Women's Basketball ends season at Chapman

ORANGE, CA — The University of La Verne women's basketball team closed out the 2018-19 season in a 91-64 loss at Chapman

Angie Steel ended her Leopard her career with 16 points, tying her career high. Clarissa Perez scored 13 points. Jazzlyn Johnson added nine points.

The Leopards end the season 12-13 overall, an improvement of seven wins from last season.

La Verne will lose Steel to graduation also along with 2018 All-SCIAC selection Perez and La Verne's single game made three-pointers record holder Bailey Kurahashi.

After inheriting a team that went 3-22, head coach Jason Pruit has taken huge strides in just two seasons. And with the bulk of the roster returning, the future looks bright for the Leopards.
