Registration open for 2019 Basketball Coaches Clinic

LA VERNE, CA —  The University of La Verne women's basketball program has announced a coaches clinic scheduled for Friday, August 2. All men's and women's coaches from any level are invited to attend. The clinic will feature ten successful collegiate coaches and will be at the Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion "The Tents".

Each presenting coach will focus on a specific aspect of the game and incorporate demonstrations into their session.

The event is open to all coaches, from middle school, high school, AAU, community college and 4-year colleges and universities. The clinic will include on-the-court demonstrations and lessons by area coaches. In addition to a sports panel, there will be a discussion on topics such as offensive and defensive strategies, philosophies, compliance, conflict resolution, Title IX, developing a program, differences between collegiate levels, and much more.

The clinic will focus on teaching the game of basketball along with fundamental skill development for players of all ages. The Leopards Basketball Coaches Clinic is a unique opportunity for area coaches to learn, collaborate, and fellowship with one another.

The cost of the clinic is $35. The early registration price of $25 is available until July 12th. Presentations begin at 8:30 am on Friday, August 2 and conclude at 5:30 pm, with lunch included.
