La Verne Drops First Home Meet

The Leopards swimming and diving team took on the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens at home on Friday afternoon and fell short in a 164-66 finish.

La Verne's 200-yard medley relay team, consisting of Jaycee Hallford, Tiffany Martin,  Niki  Affolter, and Brittany Orduno, came in third with a time of 2:06.54

Martin placed second in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.24. She also came in the second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.24.

Shelby Broyles came in third in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:02.03). Bethie Ross placed third in the 200-yard IM (2:26.93) and Erin Morten placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.31).
Amanda Mccadden placed first in both the 1 Meter Dive (151.45) and the 3 Meter Dive (295.65). Tori Moreno came in second in both events scoring 136.90 in the 1 Meter Dive and 125.65 in the 3 Meter Dive.

La Verne will be at Caltech this morning in Pasadena. The meet will begin at 10:30am.
