REDLANDS, Calif. — Catalina Lee Kim ran the fastest time in the nation in the 100m hurdles and the Leopards posted solid performances this weekend at the Redlands Invitational.
Lee Kim set a new La Verne record in the 100m meter hurdles with the fastest DIII mark this season finishing with a time of 14.45. Lee Kim set the previous La Verne record last season with a time of 14.74.
She also posted a solid mark in the long jump, taking third with a leap of 5.32 meters. The senior currently ranks second in the country with a mark of 5.61 meters set at the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 1.
Jade Griffin ran a fast time in the 200m dash posting a time of 26.03, placing her 13th nationally. In the high jump, Ebony Turner finished fourth with her best mark coming at 1.52 meters. Turner currently owns the 15th best mark in DIII.
On the men's side, Joshua Francis posted fast times in the 200m and 400m. In the 200m, he finished seventh at 22.08 and in the 400m he placed fifth with a time of 49.33. Francis currently ranks third in the 200m (21.61) and fifth in the 400m (49.12).
Kyle Ambat posted the tenth best mark in DIII in the long jump with a distance of 6.65 meters and finished 10th in the triple jump at 13.37 meters. His best mark this season in the triple jump (13.60m) places him 12th nationally.
Anthony Hamilton posted a top-3 performance in the high jump finishing with a height of 1.52 meters.
