LA VERNE, CA — Katelyn Winiecki and Kelsie Sievers each put down double-digit kills, the Leopards hit. 352 and the University of La Verne volleyball team swept the Caltech Beavers Saturday afternoon in The Tents.

Season Impact

With the win, La Verne improves to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Beavers drop to 2-10 overall and 0-4 in the SCIAC.

Stat Leaders

Sievers led all players with 11 kills in the match. Katelyn Winiecki hit an outstanding .474 in the match, totaling 10 kills. 

Madison Maynes dished out 36 assists to go with seven digs and a pair of aces. Kristen Sanchez dug 19 balls and added two assists.

Briana Voght added seven kills and Emma Estigoy put down six kills. 

La Verne hit .565 in the second set on their way to a dominating 13 point win in the frame. The Leopards finished with eight aces in the match.

Next Game

The Leopards next travel to Eagle Rock to face the Occidental College Tigers on Tuesday, September 25. Game time at Rush Gymnasium is set for 7 p.m.
