LEXINGTON, KY — Kelsie Sievers has been tabbed an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced. Sievers earns the award for the first time in her career.
Sievers had an outstanding senior season for La Verne and was instrumental to the Leopards' success this season. She led the SCIAC with 3.58 kills per set and ranked second in the conference with 387 total kills. Defensively she ranked third on the Leopards' squad with 60 blocks.
The outside hitter finishes with her career with 608 kills, 142 blocks, and 119 digs. The senior led the Leopards to a fourth place SCIAC finish and their fifth straight appearance in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament.
Earlier this year, the Apple Valley native earned First Team All-West Region honors and First Team All-SCIAC recognition.
The Leopards have placed a player on the All-America list for five straight seasons. Sievers becomes La Verne's 35th All-American.
