Men's Basketball falls to Linfield on the road

MCMINNVILLE, OR — Four Leopards finished in double figures but the University of La Verne men's basketball team couldn't keep up with the host Linfield Wildcats, falling on the road 112-78.

Freshman guard Sinai Enoch had an outstanding game off the bench for the Leopards. The Utah native led La Verne with 24 points off of 8-11 shooting with three three-pointers. Enoch also went 5-5 from the line. 

Also with a strong game off the bench was fellow freshman Donnell Leffridge IV. The guard scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and added a pair of assists. 

Senior Evan Gustafson went 6-9 from the line totaling 12 points with seven boards, and two assists. Freshman Isaiah Knox had a similar stat line, ending with 10 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

The Wildcats were led by Dempsey Roggenbuck's 35 points.

The young La Verne team that features 10 freshmen has the rest of the week off before heading up the coast next weekend. La Verne plays at UC Santa Cruz on Saturday, November 24 at 12 p.m. The Leopards will play the following day at either 10 a.m. or 12 p.m. depending on the outcome of their game and the game featuring Colby and Dominican (Ill.).
