Leopards Compete in California Lutheran Invitational Tournament

Thousand Oaks, California - The University of La Verne's golf team traveled to Thousand Oaks, California to compete in the California Lutheran Invitational Tournament on March 14th and March 15th. The Leopards entered the tournament looking to continue to build momentum as they prepare for the 2022 season finales. The Leopards finished the tournament finished 2nd as a team behind Occidental College, losing by one stroke. La Verne was tied for the lead with Claremont after the first round of play. Michael Ordona finished 2nd overall as he was the overall low scorer in the 2nd round. Coach Chris Krich was very pleased with his team's performance in the tournament. "I'm proud of how our golfers fought through adversity this past week as well as this entire season. I know it hasn't been the easiest season for them, and to see us compete for tournament championships shows how dedicated and determined these men are to be successful. I'm looking forward to the last two remaining SCIAC tournaments to see if we can make some noise on the national level as well."

The Leopards return to action April 9th and April 10th at the SCIAC 2.
