LA VERNE, CA — The University of La Verne men's soccer team and Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens men's soccer team are teaming up on Saturday to raise awareness for pediatric cancer. 

During the teams' 11 a.m. game on Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium, the squads will be partnering with the Go4theGoal foundation by wearing gold shoelaces.

Go4theGoal's mission is to "improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes. Go4theGoal provides the best practices to patients, their families, and the hospitals and staff that care for them."

The Leopards and Sagehens' goal is to raise $1000 for Go4theGoal. Cash donations will be accepted at the snack bar during the match to help the teams' teach that mark.
