LA VERNE, CA — The Leopards played solid defense for most of the match but had trouble penetrating the Panthers' box Saturday night at Ortmayer Stadium.
Chapman was able to sneak a goal in the 17th minute, beating the Leopards 1-0.
Season Impact
La Verne falls to 3-5 overall and 1-5 in SCIAC play. The Panthers improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the SCIAC.
Keeper Gerardo Vazquez kept the Leopards in the game, grabbing five saves in his start.

The Leopards are back in action on Wednesday, September 26 when they host the Occidental College Tigers at Ortmayer Stadium at 7 p.m.
