Seniors Kayla Cribbs and Randi Taylor-Toomay were named Honorable Mention All-America by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Taylor-Toomay established herself as one of the top outside hitters in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as she finished the season with a team-high 413 kills on the season. A four-year starter, Taylor-Toomay also was named to the All-West Region Team along with earning a selection to the All-SCIAC First Team. The product out of Glendora also recorded her 1,000th career kill earlier in the season.
A product from Sutter Creek, Cribbs enjoyed her most productive season at the middle blocker position for the Leos in 2012, leading the SCIAC in blocks at 1.10 per set. She also posted a team-best .296 hitting percentage during the regular season en route to earning a spot on the All-West Region squad while also garnering Second Team All-SCIAC honors.
La Verne finished the 2012 campaign with a 22-6 overall record and a 13-3 mark in SCIAC action. The Leopards earned their first trip to the NCAA Tournament in three seasons, reaching the West Region semifinals.
