La Verne Falls to Sagehens

The Leopards swimming and diving team took on the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens at home on Friday afternoon and fell short in a 154-87 finish.

La Verne's 200-yard medley relay, consisting of Danny Feola, Morgan Phillips, James Cano, and Michael Lancaster, came in first with a time of 1:56.94

Marc Okimura (1:01.00) finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke, followed by teammate Scott Jones (1:03.98) who placed second.

Okimura also placed second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:02.84.

Daniel Hargis swam the anchor on the 200-yard freestyle relay team, finishing second with teammates Andrew Mackay, Ryan Stanley, and Kyle Yasui
Senior John Roche finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.12. He also came in third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:58.59.

Adam Gray finished second in the 1 Meter Dive (229.40) and third in the 3 Meter Dive (177.25). Jacob Tittl took second in the 3 Meter Dive with a score of 185.95, and third in the 1 Meter Dive scoring 189.45.

La Verne will be at Caltech this morning in Pasadena. The meet will begin at 10:30am.
