Los Angeles, CA – The University of La Verne men's track and field team traveled to Los Angeles, California to compete in the Oxy Distance Classic.
The Leopards came into the meet to build upon a successful week of individual accolades that have vaulted not only the individuals honored but also the entire team. As the outdoor season begins, the night gave the Leopards another opportunity to continue its trek toward a SCIAC conference championship. Many Leopards achieved personal bests that also led to some cracking the ULV Track & Field Top 10 Lists.
Head coach Kevin Reid was very pleased to see the continued progress of his athletes.
"It was a very solid night of performances from the Leopard distance running crew. Coach Norton had them tuned and ready to go, even at the early stage of the outdoor season. I liked what I saw and I am looking forward to the next couple of months. The focus was on the distance runners tonight; that will shift next week to the sprinters/jumpers and throwers traveling to Redlands, before the whole team is back together the following week at Cal State San Marcos and Point Loma Nazarene."
