Los Angeles, CA – The University of La Verne women's track and field team traveled to Los Angeles, California to compete in the Oxy Distance Classic.
As the Leopards women's track team has competed across the country in various meets both indoor and outdoor, the Classic provided the opportunity for the Leopards to take another step towards supremacy in the SCIAC.
Four Leopards achieved personal bests during the classic. One Leopards etched her name in the Top 10 ULV Track & Field All Times Lists.
Head coach Kevin Reid was pleased with the forward progressions of his athletes. " It was a very solid night of performances from the Leopard distance running crew. Coach Norton had them tuned and ready to go, even at the early stage of the outdoor season, I liked what I saw and I am looking forward to the next couple of months. The focus was on the distance runners tonight, that will shift next week to the sprinters/jumpers and throwers traveling to Redlands, before the whole team is back together the following week at Cal State San Marcos and Point Loma Nazarene."
