The University of La Verne volleyball team extended its win streak to four consecutive matches as it topped the California Institute of Technology in three sets by scores of 25-8, 25-5 and 25-8 in SCIAC action Friday at Frantz Athletic Court.
La Verne (16-10, 6-7 SCIAC) hit .415 for the evening and held Caltech to a percentage of -.210.
The middle blocker tandem of Catie Logan and Danielle Maxwell each recorded a match high of 9 kills for the contest. Logan hit .667 while Maxwell enjoyed a hitting clip of .643 against the Beavers.
Before the match, seniors Anna Calmer, Chelsea Sleight, Nicole Wandler, Laura Gil and Colleen Moreno during Senior Night festivities. Wandler recorded a match-high 18 assists.
The contest marked La Verne's final home match of the regular season. The Leopards will close out with road match at Pomona-Pitzer (Oct. 30) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Nov. 2).
