Baseball's All-Decade Team consists of a pair of All-Americans along with several talented players who helped the Leopards earn three conference championships during the 10-year span.
Among the honorees include pitcher Scott Lindeen and designated hitter Scott Marcus, who each earned All-America honors during their senior seasons in 2005 and 2008, respectively. Both Lindeen and Marcus were named SCIAC Player of the Year in those respective seasons helping lead La Verne to conference championships.
Lindeen is one of the three pitchers selected along with Ryan Christoph and lefty Mark Simmons.
The rest of the infield consists of catcher BJ DuBarry, first baseman Jon Marty, second baseman Trevor Boucher and shortstop Ryan Holmes. The outfield includes Lucas Berry, Dan Soriano and Kyle Johnson.
Marcus holds down the designated hitter position while Jon-Michael Hattabaugh and Mike Surina make the squad as utility players. Infielder Jack Mehl earned an At-Large selection.
La Verne won back-to-back conference championships in 2004, 2005 and captured the league title in 2008 to collect three SCIAC crowns during the decade.
