Los Angeles, California - Today the University of La Verne baseball team traveled to Occidental College looking to continue their perfect SCIAC record. The Leopards entered today's game with a 6-0 record in conference play. An RBI from Logan Reese in the first inning of play led to a score by Chase Siffert, as LA Verne would score the first points of the game. At the end of the first inning, however, the LEopards would find themselves trailing OCcidental by a score of 1-2. Occidental College would not score again as Sean Holt would strike out four batters and Bennett Vogel would strike out two batters. Malachi Francois had two RBIs on the day for the LEopards. Tanner Siffert and Cameron Slessor had two hits for the Leopards as they would go on to defeat Occidental College by a final score of 5-2. The win kept the Leopards atop the SCIAC standing at 7-0.

The Leopards will take on Occidental at Ben Hines Field tomorrow for a double header. The first game starts at 11:00 am and the second game starts at 2:30 pm.
