NEW ORLEANS — Fourteen Leopards earned NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field All-Region accolades across 17 events the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction in addition to each of the top-three relay teams in each region.
Elizabeth Prevedello earned the most All-Region accolades among NCAA DIII female athletes, taking home five honors including second place rankings in both the high jump and long jump. Melissa Cerrillos was the top performer in the West in the 800m run.
The women's distance medley relay team of Cerrillos, Prevedello, Rachael Dela Cruz, and Jade Griffin ranked first in the region with their La Verne record-setting time of 12:15.02.
On the men's side, Kyle Ambat led the way with two All-Region performances including a first place ranking in the triple jump.
Matthew Pedroza also made his way onto the list with a second place ranking in the shot put.
A total of 740 women were honored and 720 men earned the recognition.
