Men's Track and Field post 9 personal/season bests

CLAREMONT, CA — The University of La Verne men's track and field team had a big day at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, setting nine personal and season bests at the meet.

The 4x400m relay team of Terrence Robinson, Jeffrey Ouk, Patrick Cornwell, and Matthew Salas highlighted the meet for the Leopards finishing as the top DIII squad and posting a season best time of 3:22.04. The mark puts the Leopards 26th nationally.

In the sprints, Guillermo De La Rosa posted a personal best time of 23.74 in the 200m and Jeffrey Ouk added a personal record of 49.88 in the 400m. 

Nathan Bradley finished the 110m hurdles as the top DIII athlete with a personal record time of 15.96. 

In the distance events, Kyle Regret set a personal record in the 1500m at 4:15.09.

Three Leopards set personal records in the 5000m. Samuel Johnny (15:26.50), Marcelo Arcos (15:50.87), and Aiden Garcia (16:26.61) all ran lifetime bests.

In the field events, Andres Lemus finished with a mark of 45.22m (148-04) in the javelin, a personal record. 

Next Meet

The Leopards get back to SCIAC competition this Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. at Whittier College.
