Leopards Take To The Road To Compete In The Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier And The CMS Rossi Relays
This past weekend the University of La Verne Track And Field teams competed in various events across the West Coast. The team competed in the Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier and the CMS Rossi Relays. In competing the Leopards have been continuously moving forward and progressing to qualify for various events on the national level. There were many quality performances and many personal bests were accomplished on the field and on the track. Head coach Kevin Reid was extremely pleased with the efforts of his team and likes the progression of his team as they prepare for the outdoor season. " We competed well as a team, and I believe that we are set up well to move into the outdoor season."
 
Here are the results from the Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier:
 
Zackery Deering-Haddix:  Personal best in HJ @ 2.01m. #27 on NCAA National List, #1 in West Region
 
Zachary Reid:  Personal Best in 60mHH @ 6.27 (Prelim) and 6.30 (Final). #28 on NCAA National List, #2 in West Region.  School Record
 
Michael Sahagun:  Personal Best in 3000m 8:31.13. School Record. Ranked #10 in NCAA West Region

Distance Medley Relay:  Jose Reyes, Ivan Estrada, Jared Albaugh, TK Berhe - (Each individually set personal best records)  - School Record of 10:23.27
 
4x100m Relay. Team of Ivan Estrada, Dante Carter, Ottobah Imhotep and Austin Haines (set personal best record)
 
Sprint Medley Relay. Team of Ottobah Imhotep Dante Carter Austin Haines Seasonal Best
 
Isiah Dodson. Personal Best at 100m
 
Ivan Estrada. Personal Best at 100m, 11.21
 
Dominic Flores. Personal Best in the Javelin 43.72m, also competed in the 100m and Long Jump
 
Andres Flores-Marquez. Personal best at 3000m. 9:37.54
 
Santiago Hererra.  Personal best at 3000m 9:06.89
