Leopards Continue To Etch Their Place In School Record Books

Point Loma, California - With the distance group taking the weekend off after setting the University of La Verne record books on fire the previous week, it was time for the sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers, and throwers to continue the task of re-writing the Leopard record books. The University of La Verne Track and Field Men's team posted upwards of nineteen personal or seasonal best performances and included in that list was a La Verne school record. That marks four weeks in a row where current Leopards have put themselves on top of the University of La Verne Record board.

The 4x100m Relay team of Ivan Estrada, Dante Carter, Kenny Davisand Austin Haines continued to improve on their seasonal time running 43.13 to place fourth overall. That performance in the relay sparked further PR's in the 100m and 200m with Dante Carter, Ivan Estrada, Dominic Flores, Jaden Mendoza, Isiah Dodson, and Jalen Cummings all recording personal bests in the short sprints.

The jumpers and throwers added to those totals, with Kenny Davis, Ottobah Imhotep, Brandon Pedrozaand De'Lante Moore all putting up personal bests in the jumping and throwing events.

Zachary Reid put an exclamation point on the day's efforts with a personal best, ULV school record in the 110m High Hurdles. His performance of 14.58 also currently ranks him #1 on the NCAA DIII Outdoor TF Performance list.

The Leopards will be back on the track in full force this coming week, with the Sam Adams-Jim Klein Combined Events at Westmont College (Santa Barbara) on Th/Fri March 24-25, and the Point Loma Nazarene Invitational (San Diego) on Saturday, March 26.
