LA VERNE, CA — Jazzlyn Johnson has been tabbed Second Team All-SCIAC the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced.

Johnson had an outstanding sophomore campaign for the Leopards on the way to earning her first All-SCIAC honors. The Fontana native led the Leopards and ranked fifth in the SCIAC with 14.8 pointers per game, and also ranked in the top-10 in the SCIAC with a team-leading 2.6 assists per game.

The point guard was one of the top rebounders for La Verne, finishing third on her squad with 136 total rebounds and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Johnson's best scoring performance of the season came against Whittier when she dropped 31 points to lead the Leopards to a big comeback win over the Poets. Johnson helped the Leopards finish with a 14-11 record, their most wins in a season since the 2012-13 season.
