The University of La Verne volleyball squad concluded its weekend with a perfect 4-0 mark at the Posada Royale Invitational in Thousand Oaks by posting wins over Trinity (Tex.) and Pacific (Ore.) on Saturday in Thousand Oaks.
La Verne rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Trinity in five sets by scores of 25-20, 16-25, 17-25, 25-22, 15-12. The Tigers, who were ranked No. 24 in the AVCA Preseason Poll, fell to 0-7 on the year.
The Leopards wrapped up action by posting a three-set sweep over Pacific in a 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 verdict.
The 4-0 weekend boosts the Leopards' overall mark to 7-1 after the first two weeks of the season which includes a 2-1 mark in their three five-set matches thus far.
La Verne begins SCIAC action next Friday when it hosts the Pomona-Pitzer at Frantz Athletic Court in a 7:30 pm start.
