The Leopards (19-4, 11-3 SCIAC) wasted little time establishing control as they built a 10-3 lead and continued on by taking a 19-5 advantage en route to a 25-8 set triumph.  La Verne recorded 17 kills on 25 attempts with only two errors in hitting .600 during the frame.

During the second set, La Verne held a 6-5 advantage before reeling off 10 consecutive points for a comfortable 16-5 cushion. Though the Beavers got to within six points at 17-11 before the Leopards widened their lead on their way to the set win.  Back-to-back kills from Catie Logan and Randi Taylor-Toomay concluded the 25-13 set victory.

In the third set, the Leopards held a 13-11 edge before embarking on an 8-2 run to take a 21-13 lead on their way to the sweep.

Offensively, La Verne hit .403 with 42 kills.   The Leos enjoyed a balanced attack as six different players registered at least three kills. Randi Taylor-Toomay finished with a match high 10 kills.  Caltech's Catherine Jamshidi tallied a team-high 8 kills.

The Leopards also tallied 15 service aces led by Morgan Donohue with five.  Donahue also collected 10 digs on the evening.

With two matches remaining, the Leopards locked up a berth in next weekend's conference tournament, to be held November 2-3 at a site to be determined.  La Verne is assured of at least a #3 seed in the tourney.

La Verne concludes the regular season with two home matches on Saturday.  The Leos open against Whittier at 1:00 pm followed by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Senior Night in a 7:00 pm start.
