GREENSBORO, NC — Christopher Peres picked up one more honor to cap off his incredible Leopard baseball career. The senior was named ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Peres was named a D3baseball.com Third Team All-American last week.
The Burbank native ends his Leopard career with two All-American honors, five All-West Region recognitions, three First Team All-SCIAC selections, one SCIAC Athlete of the Year award, and a SCIAC Regular Season Championship. He also was named the 2019 Anthony P. Scafani Athlete of the Year, the top athletic recognition for a La Verne senior.
Peres' on-field accomplishments have been well documented this season. The utility player posted a triple slash line of .355/.421/.529 and added 40 hits, 41 RBI, 35 runs, 13 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 16 walks. On the mound, he finished the year with a 1.93 ERA, eight saves, four wins, and no losses.
He leaves the La Verne as one of its most accomplished baseball players in history.
