NORMAN, OK — Pitiluk Phanomchai and Hisham Hussein have been named Division III PING All-West Region the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Monday evening. 

Hisham makes his way onto the list for the second straight season. The senior adds another award to his already illustrious career at La Verne. Hisham last year was named the Lee Fulmer SCIAC Athlete of the Year and has twice earned First Team All-SCIAC honors.

Phanomchai earns All-Region honors after picking up DIII West Region Freshman of the Year recognition a year ago. The Thailand native continues to add to his incredible resume at La Verne. In just his second season, the sophomore has already picked up two First Team All-SCIAC honors and was named Ken Sherman SCIAC Newcomer of the Year last season.

A total of 98 players across six regions - Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Central, and West - earned all-region honors for 2019.

The Leopards closed out day one of the NCAA Championships today with Hussein leading the way in 13th place individually and continue action tomorrow in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Fans can follow live scoring here.
