La Verne, California - The University of LA Verne softball team hosted the University of Redlands Bulldogs in a Friday afternoon matchup. The Leopards entered today's game with only eleven available players to compete in the contest. The first inning of play would end tied at zero as both teams combined for zero hits and zero runs. The Bulldogs would score the first run of the game in the second inning of play as the inning would end with La Verne trailing 1-0. The second inning ended for the Leopards as the first with zero hits and zero runs. The Leopards would manage three hits over the next three innings but would fall to the visiting Bulldogs in a valiant effort by a final score of 10-0. The Leopards will travel to Redlands tomorrow for doubleheader action with the first game starting at noon and the second game starting at 2:00 pm.
