LA VERNE, CA — Jessica Argelander has been tabbed SCIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday.

Argelander won a pair of events as the Leopards competed against Chapman and Mills. The senior touched first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.11 and added a win in the 50-yard freestyle clocking in at 24.78. Argelander is undefeated in the SCIAC in both events and ranks first in the 100 freestyle.

This is Argelander's second SCIAC Athlete of the Week honor. The senior earned the distinction after leading the Leopards to a win over Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC opener.

Next Meet

The Leopards compete in their annual Alumni Meet at home on Saturday, January 25 at 11 a.m. La Verne gets back to SCIAC action on Saturday, February 1 when they host Caltech and Westmont beginning at 10:30 a.m.
