CLAREMONT, CA — Kira Degelsmith and Izel Varela represented the University of La Verne women's swim and dive team at the 2020 SCIAC Dive Championships hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Degelsmith just missed the final cut of the one-meter dive finishing in tenth place with a score of 266.85. The top-nine divers qualified for the finals. Varela was forced to scratch.

Samantha Scarano of Redlands one the one-meter with a score of 422.80 and Ruby Epstein of Pomona-Pitzer won the three-meter dive with a total of 408.55.

Next Meet

The Leopards will compete in the swimming portion of the 2020 SCIAC Championships this week. The meet begins Thursday and runs through Sunday and will be hosted at the Brenda Villa Aquatic Center in Commerce, CA.
