COMMERCE, CA — Jessica Argelander paced the Leopards and the University of La Verne swim teams wrapped up day two to the 2020 SCIAC Championships.

The senior won the 50 freestyle consolation final posting a time of 24.19 just shy of her fastest time in the event this season.

In the relays, the women's 200 yard freestyle team of Argelander, Isabelle Cheng, Ashley Meza, and Roxanna Ramirez finished seventh with a season-best  time of 1:41.41 

The men's 200 freestyle team of Trevor Ichiki, Cristian Gonzales, Dario Mariani, and Brandon Pham finished ninth with a time of 1:31.38, their second-fastest time of the season.

After the completion of the dive competition and two days of swim action, the La Verne men's squad sits in ninth place and the women's team stands in eighth place.

The Leopards continue the meet tomorrow with prelims beginning at 9 a.m. and finals starting at 5 p.m.
