BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Guarina Garcia and Jassmine Kezman have been named ACWPC All-Americans the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced today.
Garica earned first team honors and Kezman picked up second team recognition.
Garica picks up first team accolades for the third time in her Leopard career. The Puerto Rico native proved to be one of the best all-around players in Division III. She finished the year ranked in the top ten in the SCIAC in goals (54), steals (40), and points (6) and also added 11 assists. Garcia registered at least one goal, assist, and steal in six games this season.
Kezman earns All-American honors in back-to-back seasons. The sophomore led the SCIAC with 81 goals, 23 more than the next closest player, and 94 points. The Montebello native also finished the year with 13 assists. Kezman scored at least three goals in 17 games this year and scored at least five times in six games.
The pair were both named First Team All-SCIAC earlier this year.
Next year, USA Water Polo will sponsor the first-ever Division III national championship in the both men's and women's water polo.
