Thousand Oaks, California
The University of La Verne women's water polo team traveled to California Lutheran University to take on the Regals in a mid-week contest. The Leopards entered today's contest after going undefeated in this past weekend's Convergence Tournament, winning four straight contests. The Leopards opened by scoring two goals in the first quarter (scored by Jassmine Kezman) giving them a 2-1 lead after one period of play. The second and third quarters of action would see the Leopards fail to find the net as Cal Lutheran would rally to score goals and take the lead over that time frame. Dani D'Andrea, Jassmine Kezman, and Abby Nunez would each score in the fourth period of play for the Leopards as they fought back to gain control of the contest but the Leopards would fall short by a final score of 11-5. The Leopards return to action on Saturday for a road contest at Occidental College at 11:00 am and then will play the University of Redlands in a home match-up later that day at 3:30 pm.
