Claremont, CA - The University of LA Verne hit the road to face off against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens for a midweek SCIAC match-up. The Leopards to the field looking for their first SCIAC conference win of the season.

The first half of play would see the Leopards take four shots at the net as they sought to get on the scoreboard. Giving up one goal to the Sagehens 3:13 into the game, the Leopards would not allow the Sagehens to score again in the half, entering intermission trailing by a score of 1-0.

Leopard Ana Preciado shot for the net early in the second half, looking to put the Leopards on the board, but was denied by the Sagehens defense. La Verne would attempt four more shots in the half but would be unable to notch the scoreboard, falling to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 3-0. Leopard McKenzie Maggiore had ten saves in the game for the Leopards.

La Verne will take on Chapman on Saturday, September 24th on the road at 11:00 am.
