Newberg, OR – The University of LA Verne soccer team took on George Fox on the road today in Newberg, Oregon. The Leopards were looking to build momentum with today's game, as they go into the next week of their season. Today both teams were looking to establish a tone early on, as players on both sides were hungry for victory. George Fox would get on the board first as they would score goals in the first half of play, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime.

The second half of play would see the aggression from La Verne change the momentum of the game. Eduardo Reyes would score the Leopards' first goal of the game at the 68:22 mark and, Eduardo. Osagiede Owen scored the second goal of the half for the Leopards as the game was winding down but La Verne would fall on the road by a final score of 3-2.

Hector Duenas-Pena had two saves on the day for the Leopards.

La Verne will take on Linfield tomorrow September 11th in McMinnville, Oregon.
