Pasadena, CA - The University of La Verne men's soccer team traveled to Pasadena, California to battle the Caltech Beavers in a SCIAC Conference matchup.

Today's match against the Beavers was the first meeting of the season between these two teams. La Verne's game today was the first of four straight road contests before returning home to Ortmayer Stadium.

The duel between the teams remained tied at zero until a Beaver goal was scored at the 15:45 mark of the first half. Leopard Owen Osagiede attempted a shot at the 17:10 mark of the first half but it was too high, resulting in no score. La Verne entered the half down 1-0.

Joel Trejo scored the Leopards first goal of the game late in the second half to tie the game but Caltech would score six minutes later to take a 2-1. Jacob Corona would shoot for the goal in the last minute of the game but would be unable to convert as the Leopards fell to the Beavers 2-1.

La Verne returns to action Saturday, October 15th on the road at Cal Lutheran. The game starts at 7:00 PM.
