Laguna Niguel, CA - University of La Verne sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Logan Reese was named the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week. Reese played in just one game for the University of La Verne, but made an outsized impact as he saved eight of nine shots in the 2-1 win at RV Occidental College. He leads the conference in saves and ranks a close second in save percentage.
