Redlands, CA - The University of La Verne took on the University of Redlands in today's water polo match-up.

The Leopards were looking to steal one on the road against the Bulldogs. The Leopards went down early in the first quarter, outscored by the Bulldogs 6-2. In the second quarter, the Leopards fought back, scoring three goals and holding the Bulldogs to only one going into halftime. A hard-fought third quarter gave the Leopards a two-point deficit into the fourth quarter, 9-7. The Bulldogs pulled away from the tenacious Leopards, outscoring them in the fourth 5-1. The final score was 14-8.

The Leopards were led by Peter Trinh, scoring three goals, and Peter Cano scored two. Jacob Hackbarth, Alam Chang, and Gage Unsoeld each had one goal for the Leopards. Joe Lamson, a top-ranked goalie in the SCIAC, had 14 saves this afternoon.

The Leopards take on Occidental College on October 26 at 4:00 PM at Las Flores Park.
