Thousand Oaks, CA - The University of La Verne men's water polo team took on Cal Lutheran on the road in a weekend SCIAC contest.
The Leopards came into the game looking to steal a road victory and make headway in the conference standings. The Leopards started out the game by scoring two goals in the first period of play. The Leopards would score three goals in the second period of play but would give up five goals, going into halftime down by a score of 13-5.
La Verne would start out second-half action by scoring five goals in the third period of play to cut the deficit to six points, trailing 16-10 as the fourth period began. The Leopards would score five goals in the fourth but would give up three goals, falling to Cal Lutheran by a final score of 19-15.
The Leopards return home to take on Whittier on October 19th at 4:00 PM.
