La Verne, CA - In today's water polo match-up, the University of La Verne battled against Claremont Mudd Scripps College. Both teams, only a few miles away from one another, came strong with the support of their fan base. With only two home games left, the Leopards looked to secure another SCIAC win against the Stags.

In the first quarter, CMS started the game with the first score of the game. The Leopards quickly tied but fell to a 3-1 lead by the Stags. La Verne bested CMS in the second quarter, outscoring them 2-1, down one going into halftime. In the second half, the Leopards displayed a valiant effort and tied with goals in the third quarter but would fall to the Stags by a final score of 8-6.

Joe Lamson had five saves for the Leopards, and Alam Chang led the game with four steals. James Cano led the Leopards with two goals.

The Leopards will host their final home game against Austin College Saturday, November 5th at 10:00 AM.
