San Dimas, CA- The University of La Verne women's basketball team continued their road trip on the west side of the country as they visited Life Pacific University. 

Tonight's game comes after the Leopards completed a three-game down-south road trip. Battling Life Pacific, the Leopards set the tone early on the road as the rowdy home crowd tried to deter their attack. La Verne found their way inside to take control of the game, scoring in the paint and off of transition baskets from LPU turnovers. The Leopards entered halftime leading by a score of 31-17.

Despite a small run by Life Pacific, the Leopards maintained control of the game with stellar inside play from Chiara Brown and outside play from Valentina Limion. La Verne controlled the boards with 56 rebounds while also forcing Life Pacific into 21 turnovers, winning the game by a final score of 79-59. Chiara Brown led La Verne with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kendall Stanley added 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist and 1 steal. Valentina Limion was 4-8 from the arc in the victory.

Head coach Jason Pruitt was pleased with his team's poise and play as they have been on the road for the last week. "Any road win is a good win. Yea there is a lot of stuff that we have to clean up. But for only being on the court together for 30 days, a win is a win. We will get back in the gym and clean up what needs to be cleaned and we will go from there. Hats off to the ladies for pushing through the last couple of days. We have been cross country and back all within 7 days, it would have been easy for them to quit. Hats off to our ladies for being awesome people. Big thanks to our coaching staff for preparing our players and having them mentally ready after being on the road for the last four contests." 

La Verne plays their first home game of the season on November 22nd against Bethesda University. Tipoff is at 5:30 PM.
