San Dimas, CA —The University of La Verne men's basketball team traveled to San Dimas to take on Life Pacific University. Life Pacific entered the game undefeated as they hosted the Leopards.
As first-half play transpired, both teams scored at a feverish pace, but the Leopards would enter halftime down 60-46. La Verne would shoot 55% from the field and 44% from the three-point line in the opening half.
La Verne would shoot 60% from the field in the second half of play and would outscore Life Pacific but would fall in a very close game by a final score of 98-96.
La Verne was led in scoring by Paul Antonis, who scored 23 points. Four additional Leopards scored in the double digits. Tavares James added 17 points and 7 rebounds.
The Leopards will play again Wednesday, November 16th, at Fresno Pacific University at 7 PM.
