Pasadena, CA - The University of La Verne men's basketball team traveled to match up against CalTech. Both teams were trying to prove they are worthy of the SCIAC playoffs. The Leopards hoped to put three games in a row. The Leopards were down at the half, looking to bounce back after the intermission. The University of La Verne clawed their way back, gaining the lead to try and close the game. The Leopards had a few costly turnovers in the end and would allow the Beavers to send it to overtime. They dominated overtime by scoring 7-2, making defensive plays, and securing the Leopard's third straight conference win. Reigning SCIAC Athlete of The eek, Brian Adams had 21 points, with seven rebounds and four assists. Saafir Moore caught fire in the first half scoring seven of his eight points in the first half.

The Leopards hope to continue climbing with conference standings, with their next game being January 18 vs. Occidental College at The Tents at 7 p.m.
