Laguna Niguel, CA - Leopards guard Brian Adams has been named the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Adams led the defensive effort for the University of La Verne in its first two SCIAC victories of the season, handing No. 11 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges just a second loss on the season and defeating Chapman University by single digits as well. He grabbed a key defensive rebound in the final minute of a four-point game against CMS before sinking a pair of free throws, then made a steal on the final play of the game.
