SCIAC - University of La Verne senior middle blocker and right side hitter Ayana Mier was named the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week. Mier smacked a team-high 16 kills against just three errors for a .464 hitting percentage as the Leopards became the first of four SCIAC teams to blank the University of Puget Sound in a 3-0 win. She added two blocks to contribute 5.7 points per set in the win that took the University of La Verne to 4-1 to start the season.
