La Verne, CA - The Leopards entered the matchup against Caltech looking to put two wins in a row Friday evening. Having defeated Chapman University this past Tuesday, the Leopards looked to continue the winning streak against the Beavers.

The Leopards came out the gate strong winning their first two sets by fair margins. The Leopards won the first set by a score of 25-13 and the second set by a score of 25-17. La Verne's duo of Mya Ray and Ayana Mier had a combined 26 kills for their win against Caltech. Nalani Young also had a whopping 14 digs.

The Beavers were not looking to go home early in the third set, putting up a valiant, extremely competitive effort against the Leopards. The set would be close for nearly the entire course before La Verne pulled away and finished off the match, winning the third set by a score of 25-21.

La Verne returns to The Tents tomorrow to take on Pomona-Pitzer at 4:00 PM.
